Class Starts Monday, June 3 with travel to Italy July 1 – July 29. Graduate and undergraduates in all degree programs may be eligible for this individualized program of up to 6 academic credits including visual studies, history, humanities, advanced studio, workshops, etc. The program is open to a maximum of twelve students, and must have a minimum of 10 to run.
Total Trip Costs (tuition + travel fee)
Price includes group flight, housing in shared apartments for 28 days in Italy, plus all excursions (trains, hotels, museum entry fees, etc). Price does not include food, supplies and spending money. Partial scholarships are available.
Undergraduate Costs: $8,617 (4 credits); $9,697 (6 credits)
Graduate Costs: $9,058 (4 credits); $10,285 (6 credits)
How to apply
1. Attend information Session on Tuesday, February 12 at 6pm, Cascieri Hall. It will still be happening at 7pm for those who have a class until then. If you cannot make either time, email Richard Griswold.
2. Indicate your level of interest in participating (strong / medium / no longer interested) by emailing Richard Griswold. Interest in the program is very strong, and while no deposit is due until April, an accurate sense of who wants to participate is needed.
3. Email Richard Griswold to schedule an appointment to discuss your interest and see if this program is a good fit for your educational needs. (Rich will refer you to your Academic Advisor/ Program Head as needed to figure out what BAC classes are most appropriate to this travel experience. Rich has office hours Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and some weekends).
4. Make an appointment to discuss your interest with Financial Aid if this is a factor for you (each student has different circumstances).
5.Submit the following by the required dates below:
March 11: Program Application due (including financial application for scholarships if necessary)
March 25: Scholarship materials due (essay, portfolio, sketchbook, etc.) with results out on March 29th
April 5: $2,000 non-refundable deposit due to the Bursar by 5:00pm
June 3 (First day of summer classes): $3,377 non-refundable balance due to the Bursar by 5:00pm. Tuition fees will be due at time of course registration between April 29 –June 3.
